Alexis Samaniego nom de plume DEXOS, was born in Miami Beach in 1981. He has always loved art, drawing with pastels on the walls of his room from an early age. At 12 he saw a local tv show on hip hop coulture and graffiti and he was hooked. From then on it was all graffiti all the time. Although he has never had any formal art training, he has painted both legally and illegally in over 7 countries and across 3 continents including Spain, Italy, Holland, France, Belgium, Japan, and all across the USA. He began painting canvases in 2008 because he was tired of getting his work removed from walls. His work now consists mainly of custom murals and canvases and he has been featured in the best selling book "Miami Graffiti" available at amazon.com by clicking the link above this paragraph. He has also co-founded WYNWUD Clothing.
